Preparation time: 5 minutes? maybe 6? Under 10, for sure

Shaken with ice (on the rocks), blended with ice (frozen margarita) or even without - we love this uplifting drink. This simple cocktail always puts us in a festive mood, especially when we use the eponymous margarita glass.
Tequila used to get bad reputation (we admit we also had some bad experience with tequila during our early years), but once you reunite with this epic spirit you'll (almost) forgive it for everything else.
There are tons of variations out there to try, but our favorite is the classic margarita which always brings sunshine into our minds and joys to our belly.
Ingredients
2 ounces tequila
1/2 ounce orange liqueur - Cointreau/Grand Marnier/Triple Sec
1 ounce fresh lime juice
For the advanced home drinker:
experiment with adding 1/2 ounce agave syrup, give or take
Instructions
1. Start by Chilling your margarita glass (just fill it with ice).
1. Put ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a bunch of ice cubes.
2. Shake until things are well mixed and chilled. you may make funny faces, it's alright, we all do.
3. Garnish: although it's optional we really like this salty addition. Run a lime wedge around the the rim of your glass than dip it in kosher salt. It's an extra effort, and we know we all want to just start sipping, but it'll be worth it.
